  1. I have not long finished reading the Jim Stynes biography.
I chose this book because I’m a footy fan and I wanted to find out how he lived through his battle with cancer.
I can remember seeing Jim at the Brownlow Medal count on TV and thought he was brave and inspirational.
The book is about how he first came to Australia from Ireland to play Aussie rules, some of his career highlights and his battle with cancer.
I really liked reading this book because I like reading books that are about real people.
I would rate this book a 5 out of 5 and recommend it highly to people over the age of 12.

  2. Last year we read this book during our library sessions. Mr W recommended it as a great book! I thought it looked boring but when I started reading it, I couldn’t stop! I loved how the story was connected to the past through all of the characters. At first I thought it was going to be about a naughty boy, but it was much more than that. It was really about being an honest person and a good friend.
